Stax SR-001 Mk2 Portable Electrostatic System - GBP subject to change

The first electrostatic headphone system for audiophiles on the move, the SR-001 connects to your portable CD/Minidisc/Cassette via its minijack headphone or line output socket to give far better quality than standard 'phones.
The driver unit (energiser) is powered by two AA cells to give approx 2~5 hours playing time. Weight of the energiser is only 140g inc batteries, and it slips neatly into your pocket. 2 sizes of silicon rubber ear inserts are provided to suit most ear sizes (!). The Mk2 version features lighter diaphragms, giving even greater transparency. A headband is also provided if you find (like me) that "in-ear" phones keep dropping out. S'pose it says something about the shape of my ears!

Stax SRS-2020 Basic System 2 - GBP subject to change

This is the "starter" system for headphone (or "Earspeaker", as Stax call them) enthusiasts. As with all Stax systems, the energiser is a complete miniature line-level amplifier with volume control, and can be fed from any line-level source, including a tape output socket, or directly from a CD player.
The latest version of the "Basic" headset incorporates new super thin diaphragm material, leading to even greater transparency than before. The interchangeability of Stax headsets and energisers, means you have a clear upgrade path for the future.

Stax SRS-3030 Classic System 2 - GBP subject to change

With the "Classic" system, you get the 303 headset (with PC-OCC low capacitance cable) and the superb 313 energiser, which has superior specifications and even better sound quality than the 212. It also features two outputs, a "Standard" and a "Pro", the former being suitable for older Stax headsets. This latest version of what was previously the SRM-1 energiser, features improved output stage and power supply.

Stax SRS-4040 Signature System 2 - GBP subject to change

For headphone enthusiasts, this is the ultimate combination (well, if you ignore the Omega, that is), combining the top "Signature" version of the famous Stax headset with the 006t valve (vacuum tube) energiser. The energiser has Stax's unique double triode output stage in a circuit together with a transistor input stage, which eliminates coupling capacitors and ensures a very wide frequency response with very low distortion.
Taken together with Stax's excellent record for service and spares (in the UK at least), this represents an excellent investment which you will be happy with for many years.

Stax 007 Omega 2 System - GBP subject to change
