Solid Tech is a Swedish company specialising in sprung isolation systems for hifi. Their two main products, the Radius equipment stand, and the aptly named Rack of Silence (which needs no further explanation!) are both manufactured to the highest standards and would fit visually in to most listening rooms, though the Radius, with its wooden shelves might suit a wider range of environments.
The beauty of all Solid Tech products (except the Feet of Silence which use rubber) is the use of the humble steel spring, in various configurations, and in varying quantities, to isolate equipment from each other and from the outside world. So, unlike certain air-bearing systems, there is no ongoing maintainance. It is also possible to change the load bearing capabilities of individual shelves by simply adding or subtracting springs at will, without having to dissassemble the stand first, a brilliantly simple but effective scheme.
Both of these stands must generally have at least two rigid non suspended shelves to give the system structural rigidity (you might opt to place non critical components on the fixed shelves, such as power supplies, or you might choose not to use them at all), but after that, it's up to you how you configure the isolation for the rest of the shelves. Additionally, either system can be fitted with "Disc of Silence" sprung feet in place of the usual spikes to give yet another stage of isolation which benefits the whole stand. And, the state-of-the-art Rack of Silence can even have additional isolators right underneath individual pieces of equipment, for an incredible three stages of isolation in total!
We've not seen such a well made and cleverly conceived support system before - you have to see it working to believe it, and you will also hear your equipment giving its best for the first time. Yes, it's a bit daunting at first, particularly in respect of ordering the right bits (we are here to help you), but once understood, it's actually very simple, like the best ideas usually are. Best of all, we get everything direct from the manufacturer in Sweden, with no "middleman" involved, so are able to sell it on to you at very competitive prices.

Rack of Silence
The Rack of Silence doesn't use conventional
shelves, it has cross members (as you can see from the picture) upon
which sit 4 sliding aluminium brackets which can be moved into place to
support your equipment.
This is good in that it eliminates solid shelves as a source of
resonance and colouration.
The sliding brackets can either be
positioned so as to be under the existing equipment feet, or away from
the existing feet (you might need to do this where your equipment has
three rather than four feet).
Unlike the Radius system, the pillars are "one piece" - you just order one set, and that determines the height of the stand.
