Ortofon
2M Series moving magnet
The Ortofon 2M range offers superb sound quality at four different price points with the bonus of stylus interchangeability making it possible to upgrade a red to a blue or a bronze to a black, without changing the complete cartridge. The bodies feature threaded mounting holes making attachment to most headshells simple with just a pair of screws. For more information and specs, please click the pdf below.
Vivo series moving coil
The Vivos are the successors to the popular MC10 and MC15 and offer an essentially neutral sound with the soundstaging capability and level frequency response which only moving coil designs bring to bear.
Rondo series moving coil
The Rondo range are rather special, having a wood/resin injection moulded body pioneered in Japan and featuring a lacquered finish also of Japanese origin. Neodymium magnets are used to achieve an output level of the order of 500uV, minimising strain on the phono stage. The three models each have a different cantilever, diamond, and damping system. Cadenza series moving coil
Ortofon introduced their all new Cadenza range to replace and build on the much liked Kontrapunkt range. They all feature stainless steel / aluminium bodies but different stylii, cantilevers, and internal details. For more information, please download the pdf.
MC Windfeld
